I discovered years ago that the best recipes come from food producers. The best chocolate chip cookie recipe is found on the back of the package of chocolate chips. Today, I used a recipe on the back of the Hershey’s Chipits dark chocolate chips package, but I switched it up a bit. Of course. Continue reading “Reverse Chocolate Chip Cookies”
I’ve had Sangria a few times and wasn’t impressed. But that was a long time ago and it was when someone else made it for me. I want to like it. So I thought I’d try to make it myself. Continue reading “Sangria”
I never know what to make for dinner for my family. I get so tired of having to cook for my family every. single. day! What’s worse is when company comes over. I love having my friends over but I never know what to make.

**Warning! Do not make this recipe! It’s called Crack Corn for a reason. You will eat so much of it your stomach will hurt.**
I love The Chew. I record it every day and watch it faithfully. The hosts inspire me to cook more and to try new and interesting things. Continue reading “Crack Corn”
My mom had a recipe that didn’t fit in her recipe box. It belonged in the cupboard beside the recipe box. Also, it was funny. It was hand written on an extra large recipe card by her friend, Lorraine. Also? It was a recipe for the most delicious meat loaf I’ve ever tasted. Continue reading “Super Duper Fantastic Meat Oaf”
Another recipe my mom made all the time, was chocolate cake. This cake is always moist. It uses no dairy and no eggs, so it’s good for allergies. It’s dense enough to be used for a Black Forest or German Chocolate cake or you can add nuts or fruit to the cake batter itself.
I asked my mom what she wanted me to make her for Mother’s Day. At first, she asked me to sew her something. What?! I gently steered her in a culinary direction and one thing she requested was a fruit tart. I haven’t made a fruit tart for a long time, so I had to find a recipe. This was exactly what I was looking for. Continue reading “Fruit Tart for Mother’s Day”
I love a good Caesar salad. Homemade dressing, with raw eggs, only lasts for a couple of hours. And makes people nervous. I found this recipe years ago and have used it many times to rave reviews. Continue reading “Caesar Salad”
I love those pretty little cookies in pretty pastel colours you can buy at fancy bakeries. So light and crispy and sweet. And so pretty. Continue reading “French Macaroons”
Sometimes you want cookies, but you don’t want to take the time to make little balls of dough. I know, how lazy is that? Also, sometimes you want a cookie, even though it’s square, full of yummy things; dried berries, nuts and orange juice. And, if you’re like me, you always want chocolate. Continue reading “Granola cookie bars”
